As education costs continue to rise, scholarships have become a lifeline for many students pursuing their dreams of higher education. Scholarships provide financial assistance, recognition, and support to deserving individuals, enabling them to access educational opportunities that may have otherwise been out of reach. For that reason, Alliance of Black Women Accountants is happy to announce that our scholarship for women in Accounting and Finance is now open! For the third year, ABWA will provide a General Scholarship and the Rosemarie Pamela Brown Scholarship, named for ABWA’s founder.
These scholarships promise to create opportunities for aspiring students to pursue their academic and professional goals.
The ABWA Accounting and Finance Scholarship aims to empower and support women students of color in pursuing higher education. This scholarship is available to ABWA student members in the Accounting and Finance industry.
One of the unique aspects of the scholarship is its emphasis on not just academic excellence but also personal qualities such as leadership, community involvement, and resilience. The selection process considers the whole person, recognizing that academic achievement alone does not necessarily capture a student’s full potential.
