As we bid farewell to September, reflecting on the exciting events that have filled our year so far is incredible. We eagerly anticipate even more as we approach the year’s end!
September In-Person Meeting: Phenomenal Gathering
Our September in-person meeting was nothing short of phenomenal. While gathering online is always a joy, being together in person adds a special touch. We shared a meal, got to know each other better, and engaged in a competitive puzzle activity that showcased our teamwork and leadership skills.
Puzzle Activity: A Test of Teamwork and Leadership
We divided into groups of three, each tasked with completing a 100-piece puzzle. The twist? Each puzzle was missing pieces, and every team held pieces of the other teams’ puzzles. The race to complete the puzzle was intense, with communication, leadership, and negotiation skills being tested. I was particularly inspired by how teams negotiated for the missing pieces—connections were made, and we welcomed three new members who found common ground and camaraderie.
Scholarship Application Season
In addition to our meeting, we are in the midst of our scholarship application season. The application deadline was September 20th, and applications are currently under review. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at info@aobwa.org.
