Panelist Experience with The Small Business Majority and Society of Extraordinary Women

Written by Nefertiti Long

I had the honor and the privilege to participate in the panel coordinated by The Small Business Majority and Society of Extraordinary Women. “Learn more about accessing capital as women business owners of color.” I was with a star team that openly shared their knowledge, experience and offered resources to the attendance. Everyone on the panel shared their passion for helping women business owners through their personal stories. A fellow ABWA member and distinguished finance professor at Cal State San Bernardino Dr. Francisca Beer, was by my side. As always, she was a wealth of information. My big takeaway was this type of forum allows women of color who want to start or grow their business is needed. If we helped one woman on her entrepreneurial journey, it was well worth it.
