The California Society of CPAs (CalCPA) and The Alliance of Black Women Accountants (ABWA) participated in a collaboration this spring to promote Women’s Leadership via Scholarships and are pleased to announce the success of this initiative.
Thanks to our generous sponsors, we were able to successfully raise $21,000 in scholarships funds. This initiative will help to cover the cost of event registration, hotel accommodations, and stipends for travel and meals, for up to 14 early career ABWA members to attend CalCPA’s Elevate Event May 1-2. These emerging professionals will help to support the future of the accounting pipeline.
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION & SPONSOR REGISTRATION PERIOD FOR THIS EVENT IS NOW CLOSED
The candidates chosen to receive these scholarships shall be students actively pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance OR an emerging professional in the Account / Finance field AND must be an ABWA Member.
