Alliance of Black Women Accountants Welcomes Three New Board Members Etiwanda, CA (January 15, 2023) — Alliance of Black Women Accountants welcomes three new board members for the 2023 fiscal year.
Alliance of Black Accountants names three new board members for the fiscal year of 2023. A.B.W.A. is excited to welcome Tamara Brown, CPA, MBA., Rosa Kuybus, and Dr. Francisca Beer to the board of directors.
Tamara Brown combines her knowledge of accounting, finance, and project management. She works to provide service excellence through team collaboration and working independently. Brown’s experience includes leading teams, problem-solving, managing change, and improving processes. Brown relates, “I agree with the A.B.W.A. mission of retaining, empowering, supporting, and mentoring women of color in the accounting profession.” Brown is currently Director Admin Services at Alameda County Public Health.
Rosa Kuybus has a Taxation background focused on Accounting and Business/Management from the University of San Diego and is a current CPA exam candidate. Rosa currently works with KPMG as a tax associate. She has completed tax intern work at Leaf & Cole, LLP., and advised veteran military students as a financial mentor at CSUSB.
Dr. Francisca Beer is a finance professor at CSUSB. She is currently the Associate Dean for the Office of Academic Equity. She holds a Ph.D. in Finance, a Graduate Degree in Computer Science, and a Master’s in Commercial Engineering. She has published over 50 articles, is the founding director of the Office of Student Research and the Co-PI for several grants (e.g. Mellon Mays, NSF S-STEM). She has extensive practical experience and is a prolific and experienced speaker; Francisca has presented in the US, Thailand, China, Tunisia, Turkey, Poland, France, Greece, Mexico, and Amsterdam.
