Alliance of Black Women Accountants is proud to kick off our 2023-2024 Mentor/Mentee Program! This year we have 15 mentors and a total of 33 mentees. We are so excited to welcome our new mentors and mentees for the year. Mentorship is a cornerstone for A.B.W.A. “A mentor empowers a person to see a possible future, and believe it can be obtained.” – Shawn Hitchcock
Mentors are excited about the program and eager to meet with their new mentees. Our new mentees have voiced that they “are honored” to have professionals of this caliber to mentor them through the Accounting and Finance industry in their respective fields.
Once a month, mentors will meet with their mentees to provide knowledge, encouragement, networking opportunities, resources, and a safe place to communicate challenges in school or new careers in the Accounting and Finance industry. We cannot wait to see what the year brings for our mentors and mentees.
